Bays Boating was started in 2004 by Dave Thorn in his parent's hop shed in the Motueka Valley. It has since grown to be the region’s largest marine retail and service centre, now employing over ten staff. Bays Boating works with some of the top brands in New Zealand boating and water sports including Stabicraft, McLay, Fi-Glass, Haines Hunter, Honda and Mercury. Our dedication to the brands has seen Bays Boating awarded McLay Dealer of the Year, two years in a row, and most recently, the first South Island dealership to become a Mercury Premier Service Centre.
