Mississippi Township is one of eleven townships in Jersey County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,041 and it contained 804 housing units. According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.35 square miles, of which 36.3 square miles is land and 0.04 square miles is water.
