Caitlin Clark was forced to miss her 10th game of the year on Saturday due to injury as her Indiana Fever took on the Los Angeles Sparks. Clark's side wound up losing in a hotly-contested game, with Aliyah Boston missing a game-tying jumper as time expired to give the Sparks a 89-87 victory.

The Sparks defeated the Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the second week in a row, disproving the scorching take from former women's basketball coach and ESPN analyst Carolyn Peck that the Fever are more dangerous when Clark is not playing.

This is the second injury Clark has dealt with this season. On Memorial Day, she was diagnosed with a left quad strain that ultimately kept her out for three weeks. All told, Clark has missed seven of the Fever's 16 regular season games so far this year. They are 3-4 without her and 5-4 when she plays.
