The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the All State Sugar Bowl on Thursday afternoon. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday night, but was postponed in the wake of tragedy on Bourbon Street early on New Year's Day.

The final game of the College Football Playoff quarterfinals –between Georgia and Notre Dame – is here, with the chance to face Penn State in the Orange Bowl on January 9 up for grabs.

Flags are at half-staff outside the Superdome and at nearby state buildings as fans arrive a day later than scheduled for a College Football Playoff quarterfinal game between Notre Dame and Georgia at the Sugar Bowl.
