After Houston's winter storm, temperatures are now above freezing and turning our snow chances into rain chances.

Southeast Texas can expect highs in the 50s Thursday with clear skies and an increase of rain chances over the weekend with warmer temperatures.

Tuesday's snow largely melted Wednesday as temperatures climbed from the teens into the 40s. Highs in the lows 50s are forecasted for Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching the 60s this weekend,

Millions of people across the northern Gulf Coast braced Tuesday for a rare winter storm that’s expected to scatter heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain around the Deep South as a blast of Arctic air plunges much of the eastern U.S. into a deep freeze.

At least three deaths were attributed to the cold as dangerous below-freezing temperatures with even colder wind chills settled in.
