WINNIPEG -- Mikko Rantanen scored a natural hat trick in the second period, helping the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round at Canada Life Centre on Wednesday.

The Winnipeg Jets can’t stop Mikko Rantanen either. Rantanen, coming off a massive effort in Game 7 of the Dallas Stars’ first-round series, started the second round with another hat trick and helped the Stars to a 3-2 victory over the Jets in Game 1 on Wednesday night at Canada Life Centre.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly interested in a Jets player who is very familiar with former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported that New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard is "in play" to be traded to the Steelers. Lazard played with Rodgers both with the Jets and the Green Bay Packers.

The embassy's statement followed the Global Times post, which said that the Pakistan Air Force had downed Indian fighter jets in response to Indian missile strikes on Pakistan.

Pakistan said Chinese fighter jets were used to respond to military strikes by India and that it has kept Beijing fully informed of its action as tensions in the disputed Kashmir region escalate.
