The Islanders announced on Friday that Palmieri, a pending unrestricted free agent, had agreed to a two-year extension while depth defenseman Adam Boqvist, a pending restricted free agent with arbitration rights, agreed to a one-year deal.

The New York Islanders have signed forward Kyle Palmieri to a two-year contract. Palmieri, 34, scored 48 points (24 goals, 24 assists) in 82 games with the Islanders last season, during his fourth full year with the club. He finished third on the team in goals and points and tied for the team lead with five power-play goals.
