After two years away from the NHL, former Chicago Blackhawks forward Jonathan Toews will sign with the Winnipeg Jets. Toews last played in 2022-23 but registered 883 points (372 goals & 511 assists) in 1,067 career regular-season games. Toews is originally from Winnipeg, so the talented center will get a chance to play for his hometown team.

The 34-year-old finished the regular season with 82 points in 82 games with the Stars, leading the team in scoring and setting a career high with 52 assists

After two one-year contracts, Matt Duchene is set to stay in Dallas long term this time. The Dallas Stars agreed to a four-year, $18 million extension with the veteran forward coming off a 30-goal, 82-point season in 2024-2025.
