New Jersey's lawsuit claims Discord has been deceiving young users and parents about safety features intended to block harmful content.

New Jersey is now the first state in the country to sue the online messaging platform Discord. Attorney General Matthew Platkin accuses Discord of misleading parents about its safety features, leaving children exposed to sexual and violent content.

The platform has failed to protect underage users from sexual predators, harassment and violent content, Matt Platkin says.
