OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams waited until he was an NBA champion to take his first sip of alcohol. The 24-year-old revealed to ESPN that he had never consumed alcohol before the Thunder’s Game 7 victory over the Indiana Pacers in the 2025 NBA Finals on June 22.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams led the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Indiana Pacers to win Game 7 and clinch the title, marking the first of what could be many more to come. Gilgeous-Alexander took home Finals MVP, but let it be known that the trophy belongs to Williams as well.
