The 54th annual Chicago Pride Parade — one of the oldest and largest in the country — made its way past cheering crowds in Chicago's East Lakeview neighborhood Sunday. There was a little rain for the occasion, but it hardly stopped the crowds from turning out.

Pride Chicago, the Midwest’s largest parade, will begin at North Halsted and West Grace Streets, heading down Halsted to Belmont. It will move west on Belmont to Broadway, then south on Broadway to Diversey. The parade is expected to last about three hours, and the route is about two miles long.

St. Petersburg hosts one of the largest Pride celebrations in the state. The festivities, which begin earlier in the day at Straub Park and continue with a vibrant parade along the downtown waterfront,
