RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The future of the Penny Sales Tax was on the ballot and voters approved it. At last check, more than 61% voted in favor of the tax referendum. The $4.5 billion Penny Sales Tax will be used for transportation efforts in the Midlands including road improvement projects as well as the COMET.
