Dublin was the worst affected airport in terms of cancellations, with 119 departures and 109 arrivals. That was followed by Edinburgh (81 departures, 77 arrivals), Heathrow (50 departures, 58 arrivals) and Glasgow (43 departures, 42 arrivals).

Airports have been disrupted by strong winds sweeping through the East of England as a result of Storm Éowyn. A yellow weather warning from the Met Office for wind speeds of up to 50mph (80km/h) was in place for between 05:00 and 15:00 GMT.

Storm Éowyn has unleashed strong and damaging winds over the British Isles, and particularly over Ireland and Scotland. Air pressure at the centre of the storm plummeted 50 millibars in the 24 hours leading up to midnight on.
