Yainer Diaz homered with two outs in the ninth inning and Framber Valdez pitched a three-hitter to lead the Houston Astros to a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

After authoring a masterpiece, Framber Valdez still needed a modicum of support. Yainer Diaz provided it. Diaz hit an opposite-field, walk-off home run that gave the Houston Astros a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday at Daikin Park and validated one of the signature starts of Valdez's career.
