Former UFC fighter Ben Askren is recovering from a double lung transplant after weeks awaiting a donor, his wife said on Monday.

Ben Askren, who won two state wrestling champions at Arrowhead and later became an Olympian, received a double lung transplant after battling severe pneumonia since early June.
