In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up.

The Northern Irish trio have been at the center of controversy since their Coachella performance back in April. At that show, they displayed a message that read: “Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It is being enabled by the U.S. government who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes. F— Israel; free Palestine.”

It comes after the music group hit the headlines after its member, Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence. In the run up to the festival, several politicians including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up.
