Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Ken-Betwa river link project in Khajuraho on Wednesday. The PM will arrive at Khajuraho at 12.10 pm and will return to Delhi by 2.20 pm. The PM will also issue a stamp and a coin in memory of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Ken- Betwa river linking national project is the country's first interlinking of rivers project under the national perspective plan.

Approved in December 2021 at a cost of Rs 44,605 crore, the project is expected to be completed in eight years.

The Congress on Wednesday (December 25, 2024) said that by laying the foundation stone of the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give another proof of the difference between his “talk and walk” on environment as it poses a serious threat to the Panna Tiger Reserve.
