Erica Mastropietro, 41, of Wilmington, was driving a Lexus RX 330 westbound when she crossed into the eastbound lane and crashed into the Jeep Grand Cherokee at a high rate of speed, officials said Friday.

A 41-year-old woman succumbed to injuries she sustained during a head-on motor vehicle crash on Route 62 on Wednesday night. The woman was identified as Erica Mastropietro, of Wilmington, in a joint press release issued on Friday afternoon by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Wilmington Police Department.
