The San Jose Sharks are left searching for answers after blowing a 5-1 lead in Tuesday’s ugly loss to the Nashville Predators.

The goaltending matchup featured Nashville's Justus Annunen against San Jose's Yaroslav Askarov, the Predators' first-round draft pick in 2020 who requested a trade out of Nashville last August after the team signed Juuse Saros to an eight-year contract extension. Annunen made 30 saves on 35 shots, while Askarov made 32 saves on 38 shots.

Nashville owns a 13-game point streak (12-0-1) against San Jose that dates back to March 16, 2019, in which the team has not allowed more than two goals against in a single contest. The Predators have won each of their last 10 games vs. the Sharks.

OTHER MOVES: The Sharks on Friday also returned rookie forward Collin Graf to San Jose Barracuda, and recalled winger Scott Sabourin. Colin White, who signed an AHL deal with the Barracuda last summer, practiced with the Sharks on Friday as he and the team were converting his deal into an NHL contract.
