Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Friday night after he made threats against President Donald Trump on Facebook. The investigation began when someone in Okeechobee, Florida, reported the threats to the FBI. Detectives tracked the posts to Shannon Depararro Atkins, a 46-year-old man living in West Palm Beach.
“During the process of identifying Rollie, he armed himself with a firearm inside of the vehicle and began firing at the deputies, striking one of the deputies multiple times. The deputies returned fire, and Rollie was pronounced deceased at the scene. The deputy injured is being treated and is recovering at this time.”
