Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will not be attending President-elect Trump’s inauguration on Monday, her spokesperson confirmed to The Hill. Pelosi returned to Washington earlier this month for the entrance of the new class of lawmakers after undergoing hip replacement surgery in Germany following a fall in Luxembourg in December.
The Associated Press reported the former U.S. House speaker had hip-replacement surgery after falling during a December 2024 trip in Luxembourg.
The former speaker clashed with Donald Trump throughout his first term, and the acrimony between the two persisted after he left office.
