Linebacker Matt Milano's absence from the end of Sunday's victory over the Ravens was explained by Wednesday's injury report.

Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters at a press conference that safety Taylor Rapp will miss the team's first on-field work ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs. Rapp injured his hip last weekend and he is considered day-to-day.

The hamstring issue comes at a horrible time for the Bills and Milano, who has played excellent football in the past two playoff games. He made several important plays against the Ravens, including a pass breakup on Lamar Jackson’s two-point conversion attempt in the third quarter of Buffalo’s 27-25 victory.

After being a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was fully involved on Thursday, putting him in line to start Sunday's NFC championship game against the Washington Commanders without an injury concern.

Defensive tackle DaRon Payne (knee/finger) also didn't practice along with linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle). Tight end Zach Ertz (ribs) had a rest day, along with pass rusher Dante Fowler Jr. (non injury related).
