LiAngelo Ball, 26, has signed a deal with Def Jam and the Universal Music Group, ESPN reported. Ball’s label, Born2Ball Music Group, had gone viral for his Jan. 4 song release, “Tweaker,” which has nearly eight million views on YouTube. The deal for Ball is worth up to $13 million, with a guarantee of $8 million.

"LiAngelo Ball has signed a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, a representative from his label Born2Ball Music Group says," Charania wrote. "Sources said the deal is worth as much as $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed, and gives Ball full ownership of music and his own record label."

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard, who raps under the name Dame D.O.L.L.A., has also charted an album on the Billboard 200: The Letter O reached No. 119 in 2016. During a postgame interview on Jan. 8 with ESPN’s Michael Eaves, Lillard co-signed LiAngelo’s “Tweaker.”
