Yashasvi Jaiswal starred with the bat for India against Bangladesh in the opening Test at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Day 1 (Thursday, September 19).

The brightest kid on the bloc, Yashasvi Jaiswal, continued from where he left off against England earlier in the year. With wickets falling at a brisk rate, Jaiswal kept his composure and struck a commendable 56 in 118 balls.

Yashasvi Jaiswal currently has 1084 runs in the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. If he manages to score 76 runs in the second innings of the first Test against Bangladesh, then he will have 1160 runs in the cycle.
