The Region of Waterloo says it has purchased 70 per cent of the land it wants in Wilmot Township as part of its plans to create an industrial site for future use.

Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne says the Liberal government will not table a budget when Parliament returns in the coming weeks but will instead put forward a fall economic statement.
