A state investigation is underway after a Ross Correctional Institution guard died during what's being called an “inmate assault” Christmas morning.

Andrew Lansing, the correction officer who was allegedly killed by an inmate on Christmas Day, will be laid to rest this Friday.

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction released new information on the events leading up to the death of corrections officer Andrew Lansing.
