Police in Jersey are encouraging people to "make better use of Clare's Law to prevent domestic abuse". The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme - known as Clare's Law - is intended to provide information that could protect someone from being a victim.

“I can tell you, from my experience, it is much easier to try a murder case than it is a routine domestic violence case,” Esparza said Tuesday in Dallas. “It’s much easier sometimes. Not always, but some people would be surprised to hear that.

The four federal prosecutors representing the state of Texas toured a Dallas domestic violence shelter on Tuesday, chatting with victims and advocates to try to come up with solutions.
