KL Rahul was hit on his right elbow by a bouncer during Team India’s intra-squad match simulation in Perth and was forced to leave the field of play. Rahul is seen as opener Rohit Sharma’s replacement for first Test against Australia.

Rahul was hit on his right forearm/elbow off a bumpy short delivery during India's match simulatin session in Perth. Though he tried to resume his batting after some help from the physio, Rahul decided to walk off the field.
