A man from Devon is set to compete in the London Marathon and attempt to break a world record in memory of his two babies who died. James Ashforth, 35, from Axminster, will take on the marathon on Sunday for his children Luca and Leila who were still-born.

As ever, sports fans in the UK can watch the 2025 London Marathon live on free-to-air channels BBC1 and BBC2. This also means viewers in the UK will be able to stream the event free on BBC iPlayer. Coverage starts at 8.:30 a.m. BST on Sunday morning on BBC1 before switching over to BBC2 at 2 p.m. for the rest of the day's action.

Athletes then complete a circuit around Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs before the course runs west along the north bank of the Thames on Victoria Embankment past the Tower of London towards Trafalgar Square and onto the Mall where it finishes in front of Buckingham Palace.
