The Toronto Maple Leafs have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers with a 4-3 win in Game 2. A back-and-forth contest saw the Panthers take early leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but goals from William Nylander and Max Domi in the second period gave the Leafs their first lead of the night.

Shanahan won his Cups in Detroit as a player with Steve Yzerman, Nick Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov as his teammates. He played with a boat-load of Hall of Famers, but also with the likes of Kris Draper centring Kirk Maltby and Darren McCarty.
