Shelby County Board of Commissioners approved a financial audit of Memphis-Shelby County Schools following the firing of former superintendent Marie Feagins.
The Board of Commissioners said MSCS's budget comes out to about 2.2 billion annually, entirely funded by taxpayers.
The resolution authorizes the use of $50,000 from the County Commission’s Contingency Fund to pay for the audit.
