Disney is preparing for a new trilogy of Star Wars films after years with no big-screen releases. The latest trilogy will be written and produced by Simon Kinberg. It's unclear whether the new Star Wars trilogy will be a continuation of the Skywalker Saga.

Simon Kinberg will reportedly write and produce the three new films. He's known for his work on 21st Century Fox's "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" films, as well as directing 2022's "The 355."
