A Wind Advisory has been issued for several counties north and west of the metro starting 10 AM Thursday through 8 PM. This should allow very comfortable air to settle for what is likely to be another highly enjoyable weekend across the area!
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The near record highs come to an end with a series of cold fronts that won’t bring any rain, but should shove the humidity away and lead to some very mild weather for the end of the week. Much needed rain is likely to come back to Kansas this weekend, but not on a statewide scale.
Strong storms could produce large hail, damaging wind gusts, lightning, and heavy rain on Friday.
Rain and storms will again be possible throughout the day today, but the best chances for stronger storms will be this afternoon (from about 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.) through tonight. Heavy rain will again be possible, and a flood watch will remain in effect for parts of central Alabama through 7 p.m. today.
Thursday may start with patchy dense fog, but look for more sun later on in the morning and early afternoon, before more storms develop....a 40% chance....some could be strong to isolated severe.

The wide, low-pressure system is finally moving away from the Carolinas.
