BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Sens. Jim Risch and Mike Crapo made statements Friday opposing the sale of more than 3 million acres of public land as part of the federal budget reconciliation bill.
“Sen. Daines opposes public land sales,” spokesperson Matt Lloyd told the Montana Free Press on June 4. Idaho Senator James Risch, R, has also publicly opposed such sales.
Risch’s letter seemed to do the trick, as Derogy was released June 1. Derogy flew to the Boise Airport, where Burnett snapped a photo of the reunited couple and posted it on social media on June 6.
