Erik ten Hag made a lot of transfer mistakes during his time at Manchester United but one of the Dutchman’s final signings is proving to be a bargain saviour to his former side.

Matthijs de Ligt says it's important that Manchester United move on from Erik ten Hag's sacking and focus on the future.The Red Devils dismissed Ten Hag in the aftermath of last month's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United and subsequently appointed Ruben Amorim as the club's first ever 'head coach'.

Matthijs de Ligt claimed that he did not join Manchester United for Erik ten Hag and believes that his former Ajax boss was unlucky to be sacked.
