Members of Vancouver, British Columbia's Filipino community say an attack that killed 11 people and wounded 32 was all the more devastating for coming at an event that celebrated their culture and togetherness.

The Philippine consulate warned against donating to unverified fundraisers that may be exploiting the tragedy in Canada.
