China has angrily responded to Trump’s accusation that the country has violated the 90-day trade truce, and says it will protect its interests.

Beijing accused the US of violating a recent trade agreement reached by both sides in Geneva last month and dismissed similar allegations made by Trump.

Tensions between U.S. and China have flared up after a hiatus following a meeting between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and his Chinese counterpart in Geneva.
