Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece premiered on August 31, 2023, and took the world by storm. Its success led to the announcement that the series would receive Season 2, which is currently in production.

One Piece Season 2 began filming in South Africa in July, and while it remains to be seen when the next batch of episodes will arrive to Netflix subscription holders, there’s been a lot of casting news that’s been shared in recent months.

Last month, Charithra Chandra, who played Edwina Sharma in the second season of "Bridgerton," was cast as Miss Wednesday. The same week, Netflix announced the casting of Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk.
