Comcast's cable networks became the latest big company to announce a name change. As a badge for the cable network portfolio it plans to spin off (including CNBC and USA), it's ditching the temporary name of SpinCo in favor of Versant.

Versantr has been selected as the new name for the parent company of media assets slated to be spun off from Comcast and NBCU later in 2025

"It speaks to our adaptability and embraces the opportunity to shape a new, modern media company," CEO Mark Lazarus told staffers Tuesday.
