ATLANTA — A southern storm system brought a quick shot of snowfall to parts of north and central Georgia Tuesday. This was a different storm than our January 10th storm. This one brought lower snow totals, but more treacherous road conditions due to the colder conditions in the middle of Atlanta's deep freeze.

ATLANTA SNOW: Parts of North Georgia could see up to 4 inches of snow
Nitz the mountains will see “accumulations to 2-3, isolated 4-inch totals or higher in the higher peaks of the North Georgia mountains.” The Atlanta metro will see snow in the morning with it turning to freezing rain. “From the metro to the area to the north, we’re talking one to two inches,” Nitz said.
Winter storm is over, but icy grip holds strong in Atlanta and Georgia
