A panel of Indian lawmakers will review safety in the country's civil aviation sector and has invited several industry and government officials to answer questions on July 9, with topics set to include Air India's recent plane crash.

Data recovery from the flight data recorders aboard Air India flight 171, which tragically crashed on June 12, began this past week.

Investigators probing the deadly Air India crash on June 12 have confirmed that sabotage has not been ruled out. Some 274 victims were killed when the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner plunged into a building, shortly after it took off from Ahmedabad Airport in India on its journey to London Gatwick in the United Kingdom.
