Spencer Torkelson and the Detroit Tigers will try to defeat Miguel Vargas and the Chicago White Sox when the teams square off on Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. ET. The Tigers average 1.2 home runs per game to rank eighth in baseball with 73 total home runs. The White Sox rank 28th in Major League Baseball with just 47 home runs as a team.

The 28-year-old eventually gave up two runs, and although the Tigers clawed back, the White Sox stole the show in the 10th inning. The Tigers lost, 3-2, in the finale of the four-game series at Rate Field, settling for a split. In the bottom of the 10th, Tim Elko hit a walk-off single off right-handed reliever Beau Brieske.
