Veteran edge rusher Lorenzo Carter, who began his NFL career with the New York Giants in 2018, has announced that he is retiring from football. "He notified us yesterday that he will be retiring," Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi said, via the team's website. "So we wish him well."

An example came Wednesday as former New York Giants edge defender Lorenzo Carter, a third-round pick by the Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft, has told the Tennessee Titans that he plans to retire. Carter is just 29.

A third-round pick by the Giants in 2018, the 29-year-old spent four seasons in New York and appeared in 49 games. He has spent the last three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons .

ESPN did give the Giants praise for the construction of the defensive front, calling that unit the team's biggest strength. The trio of edge rushers in Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and No. 3 overall pick Abdul Carter should bode well next to All-Pro talent Dexter Lawrence on the interior.
