Dec 25, 2024 · An artificial anger. The warden is indeed pushing for her liutenant and Scurvy to deal with the X-men being a real bigot about it. There is obviously some issue behind her behaviour but she is downplaying the X-men by a lot, underestimating them. The teams are making short work of the hounds and we get some nice scenes.

Dec 25, 2024 · Cyclops is the Wonderbread of the X-Men. Predictable, boring and one-note. The last 20 years have been “Xavier is a jerk, we can’t trust him” verse “Cyclops is right!!11” I’m so bored. Honestly, him having sudden panic attacks is the most interesting things they’ve done with him in decades. Hope Jed continues on with that.

Jan 8, 2025 · All this forced drama? Why would we have a Schism? Why are non of the most opinionated X-Men (Logan, Kurt, Beast) saying ANYTHING? I would ask why are they leaving captured and brainwashed mutants with their captors but this is par for the course (see every X-Men's reaction to Rachel being a forced hound again in Extermination).

Jubilee was annoying too, especially when she was reminding the rest of the cast how she was part of the X-men.

Academy X/ New X-Men Appreciation Thread 2025
Jan 6, 2025 · I consider the Cuckoos part of Academy X, since they appeared in the New Mutants/New X-Men books and interacted with the cast multiple times. They actually took part in the Academy X narrative. Dust and Icarus predate Academy X, but are such prominent members of the book that they're more associated with them than their previous eras.
